Avoid pension scams
Pension transfers are a primary target for fraud. This is particularly important if you’re considering transferring your pension out of the Group or if you have a DC pension.
The Planning for the future section of the website will help you understand the process, your options and what’s involved. If you’re eligible, there’s access to funded advice from an IFA who knows the Group and has undergone due diligence. Please speak to Railpen for more information.
If you take financial advice outside of the Group, you should check the adviser you speak to is registered with the FCA at www.fca.org.uk/consumers/using-financial-services-register
If you think you’ve been scammed, act immediately. Contact Action Fraud on 0300 132 2040 or visit www.actionfraud.police.uk
If you live in Scotland, you should call Police Scotland on 101 or Advice Direct Scotland on 0808 164 6000.
