This website is for members of the National Grid Electricity Group (also known as the ‘NGE Group’ or the ‘Group’).

The Group closed to new members with effect from 1 April 2006. If you joined National Grid or worked for the Company before this date and were (or are) classed as Electricity Transmission staff, you’re likely to be a member of the NGE Group.

During 2022, a small number of members joined the Group from the NGUKPS (the Gas Scheme) due to restructuring with the sponsoring employers.

If you received a letter at the end of May 2026 about your pension and how the Group is proposing to address an historical inequality relating to GMP benefits, you only have until 31 July if you wish to ask any questions and provide feedback about the Group Trustee’s proposal.
