This website is for members of the National Grid Electricity Group (also known as the ‘NGE Group’ or the ‘Group’).

The Group closed to new members with effect from 1 April 2006. If you joined National Grid or worked for the Company before this date and were (or are) classed as Electricity Transmission staff, you’re likely to be a member of the NGE Group.

During 2022, a small number of members joined the Group from the NGUKPS (the Gas Scheme) due to restructuring with the sponsoring employers.

The Group Trustee has written to those members whose Group pension may need to be adjusted to remove an inequality caused by GMPs. This is to consult with you on the proposed approach the Group Trustee intends to use to address the issue. The consultation is now open.
